Terrible not good value for money.

One of the worse hotels I have stayed in, in a long time. The key cards never work. Advertised wrongly as the they have a pool and sky bar and toiletries in the bath room. It is very basic. They have all the amenities but nothing is open. Not even the bath tub in the suites are functioning. To add to it the staff are quite unfriendly. Location is not that great either. I paid its 200 euros a night not good value for money either.

Please accept our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience caused. We understand your disappointment regarding our facilities on our rooftop, however, the information about the works was indicated on all websites during booking process. Barcelona is knowing a severe drought and for this reason, the authorities have been obligated to take action, and one of them is about the use of swimming pool. This is why the hotel choose this period to do the improvement works, in addition of the opening of the swimming pool which is on the 10th of May, when the weather is more enjoyable and that it can heat it. However, we are deeply sorry for the inconvenience caused. Regarding the functionality of the bathtub, we understand the importance of providing a fully operational and enjoyable experience for our guests. But again, because Barcelona is knowing a severe drought and local authorities have taken measures to prevent it from getting worse, we have to remove the bath stopper to encourage people to take a shower rather than a bath and therefore to use less water. However, you could still ask the reception to give you a bath stopper. We thank you for your understanding. About the toiletries in the bathroom we would like to let you know that in the suites, you can find extra amenities but also that the hotel is following a sustainable regulation. One of the focus is to collaborate with Rituals to offer you quality and only necessary products and therefore avoid monodosis products. However, if you are really in need of anything feel free to ask at the reception. Furthermore, we deeply regret to hear that you found our staff unfriendly. Hospitality and guest satisfaction are our top priorities. There is a few new members and interns in training in our staff which can explain the lack of professionalism. However, the information has been communicated to our employees to reinforce this point so that it doesn´t happen anymore in the future. We are sorry that you did not find our location accommodating as we are not far from the metro Glories or even from the Sagrada Familia or the beach by foot. Once again, we apologize for the inconveniences you experienced during your stay. Your feedback is invaluable to us as we strive to continuously improve the guest experience. Excellent food, the staff was very friendly, helpful and delightful. The waiter Roger had everything under control. Paella from chef Ferran is something you must try.

OH NO - friendly Untrained staff.- Frustration Sets in

This could be a great hotel, but the staff are very poorly trained, literally every question orrequest was not carried through. The restaurant was great with wonderful well priced food. The staff are young and keen, but super green, and dont follow through with a request. It was quite frustrating! I cant recommend this one, i sure many better options in Barcelona!. A one night businessman ! Yep i can see that work, a couple on holidays, nah not this place.

No swimming pool!

Thoroughly disappointed, booked the hotel as a suprise for my husband and two children, finding a hotel with a swimming pool centrally to Barcelona. However on arrival the pool isn't open. I have double checked the website and can't see an obvious notice to say this is the case. Two very disappointed children and a real taint on our stay. Reception apologised and said they would let the website team know but nothing more they could do. Staff all very friendly and tried hard to welcome tired children when we arrived from travelling with little activity packs and some sweets. Check in took a while even after "checking in online", which I would say was a waste of time, didn't seem to speed up the process. Location perfect, room quite tight for the full family but it's manageable.

Great for a Novotel

The hotel is located around 5 mins walking from the Glories metro station and about 25 mins walk from either the Sagrada Familia or Arc the Triomf. Well appointed room with lovely view over the city and the Sagrada Familia. Delicious breakfast which in fact was a surprise. Friendly and courteous staff.
